The Professional Conduct That Opens Doors Before You Say a Word

Business Etiquette Training

A One-Day Workshop on the Unwritten Rules of Pakistani and International Business. Business Etiquette Training Pakistan
“Competence earns respect. Etiquette earns it in the first five minutes.”

Every formal business environment has unwritten rules:

How to greet a senior colleague, how to conduct yourself at a client meeting, when to speak and when to listen, how to write a professional email, how to handle a business meal, how to dress for different levels of formality, how to present a business card.

These rules are rarely taught directly. They are expected to be absorbed by observation, and professionals who have not had the opportunity to observe them in formal environments often carry gaps in their professional conduct that work against them without their realizing it.
Business Etiquette Training Pakistan is IKTAR’s program for closing those gaps explicitly and practically. The program covers the full range of professional conduct expected in formal Pakistani corporate environments and in international business settings, from the basics of professional communication and meeting behavior to the more nuanced expectations of cross-cultural business interaction with clients, partners, and colleagues from different cultural backgrounds.
This program Business Etiquette Training Pakistan avoids two common traps in business etiquette training: being so rigid and rule-bound that it creates anxiety rather than confidence, and being so vague and principle-driven that participants leave without knowing what to actually do differently. IKTAR’s approach is specific, practical, and framed around confidence rather than compliance.

Who This Program Is For

Business Etiquette Training is designed for:

• Fresh graduates and junior professionals entering formal corporate environments for the first time who want to make a strong first impression from day one
• Customer-facing professionals in banking, hospitality, and professional services whose conduct directly reflects on their organization’s reputation
• Sales and business development professionals who meet high-value clients in formal settings and need to match the standard expected at that level
• Professionals who interact with international clients, partners, or colleagues and want to understand the conduct expected across different cultural business norms
• Organizations that bring in a cohort of new graduates each year and want to invest in their professional foundation before placing them in client-facing roles

Professional etiquette is not about being formal for its own sake. It is about being so fluent in the expected norms of a business setting that your conduct reinforces rather than distracts from your actual professional capability.

What Participants Learn

By the end of the workshop, participants will be able to:

• Navigate formal business introductions, greetings, and meeting protocols with confidence in both Pakistani and international contexts
• Write professional emails and correspondence that meet the standard expected at every level of a formal business relationship
• Conduct themselves at business meals, client events, and formal functions without the uncertainty that undermines confident engagement
• Dress appropriately for different levels of formality across Pakistani corporate, formal client, and international business settings
• Handle the specifically Pakistani etiquette considerations that differ from international norms, including hierarchy, seniority, and cultural sensitivities
• Adapt their professional conduct confidently when working with clients or colleagues from different cultural backgrounds

Methodology

Program Structure and Methodology

Format: One-day in-person workshop
Group Size: Optimal cohort of 15 to 25 participants
Methodology: Scenario-based role plays, etiquette simulations, real business situation discussion, and a practical reference guide participants keep after the workshop
Delivery Options: Public workshop with scheduled dates, or in-house program for a new graduate cohort, a client-facing team, or an entire department

The workshop balances Pakistani corporate norms with international business conduct, since both are relevant for Pakistani professionals who work with multinational clients or in organizations with international parent companies. Participants receive a practical reference card summarizing the key norms covered, designed to be kept at the desk rather than filed away.

Why IKTAR

Business etiquette training delivered by someone who has not operated across both Pakistani corporate culture and international business settings produces guidance that is either too locally specific to be useful in an international context, or too internationally generic to account for the specific norms and sensitivities of the Pakistani workplace. IKTAR’s version draws on experience across both environments.
This program is led by Shafqat Jilani, a Certified Master Trainer (Futures Group, Washington DC) who has worked with clients including multinational corporations, UN agencies, and international NGOs across his 25-year career, giving this program a genuinely cross-cultural grounding that purely domestic trainers cannot offer.
Following the workshop, IKTAR provides a free training review report identifying the specific etiquette areas most frequently observed as gaps in the cohort and personalized recommendations for each participant.
