From the beginning, IKTAR positioned itself differently from the typical training company. Shafqat Jilani is the founder and lead consultant of IKTAR. With over 25 years of professional experience spanning multinational corporations, international organizations, and his own consulting practice, he brings a depth of real-world knowledge to every IKTAR engagement that no amount of academic qualification alone can replicate. He is a Certified Master Trainer credentialed by Futures Group Washington DC, a Certified Productivity Professional recognised by the Asian Productivity Organization in Japan, and a Dale Carnegie certified professional. He has delivered training and consulting across Pakistan and internationally, conducted over 800 workshops, and authored six books published on Amazon.

What does IKTAR stand for?

IKTAR stands for Initiating Knowledge, Training, Action and Reform. Every word is deliberate. Knowledge without action produces awareness but no change. Action without reform produces activity but no improvement. IKTAR’s work is designed to produce all four in sequence: building the knowledge, developing the skills, driving the action, and sustaining the reform that makes the change permanent.

Who delivers IKTAR’s training and consulting programs?

Majority of IKTAR programs are designed and led by Shafqat Jilani, Founder and CEO, a Certified Master Trainer (Futures Group, Washington DC) with an MSc in Applied Psychology and over 25 years of experience developing people and organizations across Pakistan. IKTAR does not subcontract its training or consulting delivery to associate trainers or freelance facilitators. When you engage IKTAR, you get Shafqat Jilani.

What sectors does IKTAR work with?

IKTAR has delivered training and consulting across manufacturing, banking and financial services, FMCG, pharmaceuticals, NGOs and development sector organizations, retail, education, telecommunications, and public sector institutions. Does IKTAR work outside Lahore?

Yes. IKTAR delivers training and consulting nationwide across Pakistan including Karachi, Islamabad, Rawalpindi, Faisalabad, Multan, and Peshawar. In-house corporate programs are delivered at the client’s own premises regardless of location. Public workshops are primarily scheduled in Lahore. Online delivery is available for selected programs for organizations in cities where in-person delivery is not practical.

How does IKTAR approach a new training or consulting engagement?

IKTAR follows a diagnosis-before-prescription approach for every engagement. For training, this means conducting a Training Needs Analysis before any program is designed, to ensure the training addresses the organization’s actual skill gaps rather than a generic curriculum. For consulting, this means conducting a structured organizational diagnostic before making any recommendations. IKTAR does not sell standard solutions. Every engagement is designed around the specific situation of the client.

Can IKTAR customize its training programs for our organization?

Yes. Every in-house training program is customized to the organization’s industry, the participants’ roles, the specific skill gaps identified in the TNA, and the organizational culture. Case studies, role plays, and scenarios are drawn from the client’s own operating environment wherever possible. Public workshop programs follow a fixed curriculum but are available for in-house delivery with full customization.
